A BILL to amend article seven-a, chapter eighteen of the code of
West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated section
thirty-seven, relating to free hospitalization and life
insurance for retired teachers.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article seven-a, chapter eighteen of the code of West
Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be
amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section
thirty-seven, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 7A. STATE TEACHERS RETIREMENT SYSTEM.
§18-7A-37. Hospitalization and life insurance for member
annuitants.
All annuitants presently approved for retirement allowance
shall receive free hospitalization under the group medical plan
and free life insurance under the present plan available to
working teachers.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to provide for free
hospitalization and life insurance for all retired teachers.
